Is your #hashtag game on point? When used correctly, hashtags can help attract more followers and drive engagement. However, it's crucial to be strategic and selective with your options. - Common hashtags like #happy , #love , #california and others have millions of tags. Posts using these types are easily lost in the sea of photos. Your odds of ever getting to the popular page are slim to none without a huge following. - Niche hashtags on the other hand are much more effective and will bring a truly engaged audience to your page. You'll also avoid the spam comments and bots that follow / unfollow. - One of the best ways to find these niche hashtags is to look at what your competitors and industry leaders are using. Additionally, you can begin typing in a tag and see how many related posts it has. Seek out the tags which fall under the 50k - 200k range. You'll keep your post at the top of the "latest" category longer and also have more potential to land in the popular section. - You can use up to 30 hashtags per post, so start experimenting with various tags and see which ones resonate with your audience the most!

Every so often it’s crucial to evaluate your site and brand to ensure you’re taking advantage of latest trends, verify CTA effectiveness, and check your visitor engagement. Technology and features change so quickly that your site should also be evolving. Shout out to all of my fellow designers who are constantly working on client sites that they forget about their own- it’s an easy trap to fall into! . Last year we did a test with our site at Ekspohz and moved to a very simple portfolio mainly showcasing past works. In some regards it was effective, but lacked in other areas (hello SEO) and it was time for a change. Oh hey there! It's been a few weeks since we last posted. It's so easy to get caught up in the daily grind of social media and the pressure to post consistently. Do you ever get burnt out? . . We decided to take a step back for a few weeks to recharge and something amazing happened. The business still ran great, our Instagram engagement + followers increased, and old content continued to be discovered. A cohesive brand aesthetic and quality posts are far more important than quantity. We're ready for 2019! Happy holidays all.
